To Welcome 2010 With Great Spirit

This post marks the end of year 2009.Funny how i used to dread 2009(very much) as 2008 came to an end,but now as i look back,2009 wasn't that bad(minus all the stress and pressure)nevertheless,2009 was still a great year,met a bunch of amazing people,gotten to know people i already knew much much better,learned some lifetime lessons and etc.For all you know,2010 would be waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better ;)

First off,gotta show my one and only purple eyeshadow palette which i haven't use for a long time,im into earthy tones lately and alot of black.This was upposed to be a tag by Kassia of www.colourup.blogspot.com,she tagged me with the colour purple.I think i have this purple nailpolish i bought from EtudeHouse sometime ago but i don't know where i left it,my things are all around the house =/ a few purple t shirts(which quite pathetic to show here) and thats it.Thou i used to pride that purple was my favourite colour,but it was a colour that i hardly wear,but seriously,purple is still my favourite colour.

This is what i did in prepare for a new year,shopping!Thats the face mist i review in my previous post,a mask and nail polish from Etude House,random earring and a wing charm from Diva,does anyone know where i could get some earrings like that? :)

And some random stuff from the MYR5 shop,Hinode.

Bought the stamps and glitter from the MYR5 shop while the pouch was bought somewhere else but at the price of MYR 5 too. And look,some plastic containers!Gonna get more of that stuff to store samples and stuff.Hehe.

 

Eeeee so cute right, i know i have been talking bout carving my stamps before,i still can't find the perfect rubber to do so =/ i'm gonna improve my driving skills and drive to mines one day to buy the tools i need,for now,lets do some stamping with premade stamps.

Some glitters that i bought to deco a black empty box.Hehehehe,part of it was a surprise for Joseph,but i am not done yet,he gotta attend my bd party and i still owe him a bd present,i am awesome,kthx.

The Face Shop Pure Water Facial Mist

Remember what i said about being broke and will not be spending anymore in my previous post?Okay,maybe i shall leave it for next year,after Jan the 3rd =P the word sale is just too tempting and i kept spending beyond my goal of not spending,i shall start a NO BUY rule,no makeup or beauty products for 6 months,acceptable only if i run out of that certain product.

Anyway,The Face Shop  is on sale now,go grab some stuff while it last! Their BB cream was only about MYR 60 ++? a discount of MYR 30 ++,thats good bargain,i would have bought but i just bought the Skinfood Peach Sake Pore BB cream,so yeah,maybe another time then? =/

So what i got is this :

The Face Shop Pure Water Facial Mist in Jeju Flower.

 This is extracted from their website :

Concept Jeju Island’s pure Samdasu water in addition to locally produced flower extract marine extract and orange extract will quench thirsty skin in fine facial mist spray. Description - Jeju Samdasu (80%) + Jeju flower extract (canola honeysuckle Thymus quinquecostatus ) (10%) It balances moisture and oil level. Its scent is light and romantic flower.

It was on discount and i got it for MYR 15.60? for 70ml.My brother's gf recently bought the cucumber face mist from Skinfood but it was out of my budget as i am seriously very broke now,so when i came across this,i just had to get it,and i think it would be good for my college days soon during sleepy hours,a spritz or two would do the magic.And why not try it since its at a very reasonable price.

I tried it few days ago and  i had to say it does a good job for people with oily skin - ME!

Here are the pros and cons :

Pros :

• Very reasonable,shall i say,cheap?
• Slim packaging,can fit into my bag easily but maybe not for those wristlet?
• Smells good,not strong,which is good,yay again for the sensitive nose!
• easily absorb by the skin,unlike some which are sticky or just doesn't seem to penetrate the skin!
• comes in 3 variety,choose from orange flower and marine,flower ones are for oily skins.
• i did not breakout prior to usage!when it dries and absorbed by the skin,my skin felt refresh and less oily.

Cons :

•  Doesn't spritz finely because its not compressed liquid,but at the same time,its good as it is not explosive.
• Not suitable for those who are sensitive or dislike parabens.Can cause skin irritation,try at your own risk!

I shall rate it a 3.5 out of 5? will i repurchase?maybe,i'm still open to try other brands as well,so we will see.Am looking for one without parabens!

But all in all,its a good purchase.

Here are the Coastal Scent's mineral eyeshadow that Laney(Blovet) sent me from the giveaway! ^.^ ~

Green,Gold(in packet) and tan,i ran out of plastic containers as some are already used to store wash off packs. The tan eyeshadow filled up two containers!however i think the containers are smaller compared to the one i use to store the green eyeshadow.Yes different type ,bought from different places.So the gold had to be left in the packet for now.

Will post up swatches soon,god it is indeed very messy in handling this babies,but i love the colour so so much!Its so pigmented <3 Tried the tan and green already,it shows up on my super tan skin which is love!

I decorated my makeup box with some stickers.

Sorry for posting this up sooooooooooooo late while christmas is gonna end for some,and only starting for others!But still,happy holidays!

2009 wasn't a year ill regret for not spending it wisely when i'm old,there are good times,and some bad ones,turbulence ,but we could only take and give so much.Infact,this year was special to me as i made alot of new friends,and gain alot of experiences,no matter good or bad,i learned,and that is more that i could ask for,to only make me a stronger person.

To all the beauty bloggers,you guys are an awesome bunch i'd say,thou all of us are so far apart and not knowing each other well,maybe we don't know each other,you guys came and left wonderful comments,i hope to get to know you guys better in 2010,it will be a better year than before!

My <3 to all of you!

....and to my friends,kailee you were the best,for being there for me all the time!cayyeng(<3),shermaine,jy,houren,terry,joey,emily,jessalyn,joseph and everyone else for making my last year of highschool something worth remembering.

Last but not least,my other half,my pillar of support,knowing that you are going through the same suffering as i do,thats just awesome,hahaha.Okay kidding,but yeah,you know twin goes through the same thing no matter pain or pressure and etc etc.

Random Buys and SS501's Solo Collection Drama MV

I'm turning nocturnal again,is this a bad thing?I like to stay awake at night more compared to mornings and afternoons.I can't believe i'm thanking god for the year end sale to come to an end soon,i'm already broke with very little money left(no more school,no pocket money,not working yet,not going college yet,this is very much what an unemployed does)and yet my wishlist gets longer everytime i pass by a shop or something new,utter fail.

Anyway,i am very happy with my buys,haha,can't help it you see,in the process of changing styles and stuff like that,bye high school and hello undergraduate. Will be scouting for work soon,we will see how it goes.If anyone has any job recommendation,please drop me an email! <3

SO i threw out all my highschool stuffs,gave books away to friends and to charity,love how the house appears neater nowadays.AND NO MORE UNIFORM for the rest of my life,eh no,how i wish,still have to go through national service which i don't know when is it. (please insert own thoughts about NS and WHAT is related ,this is to prevent me from entering *ahem*)

Jorein Masks,like 32 of them,haehaehehaehaehaeh this will last me for a very long time,thou my mom already took some of them.

I'm not sure how to differentiate between a fake and real Jorein mask,however i bought from the same seller which i've done my first purchase with,and shes quite reputable for selling these,so it should be okay i guess?Don't be fool by those you see at Petaling Street or your neighborhood night market.But it seems like a fake Jorein mask doesn't have manufacture date or was it expiry date?hmmm.

Skinfood stuff and Marks and Spencer hand and nail cream in Iris Florentina.

OMG,the Marks and Spencer hand and nail cream in Iris Florentina smells mad awesome!Its so soothing yet refreshing at the same time,very english like,i like!and it retails for just a mere MYR/RM 16 !!! so much more cheaper than Skinfood's Melon hand balm.

Bought the face cream from the avocado range for my bro which has mad hydration benefits,suitable for the winter season! Peach Sake BB Cream,the hand balm which i mentioned earlier and 2 eye mask!The salmon omega eye mask are one of the new products according to the SA.If you are a skinfood fan,its time to purchase now,no they are not on sale,never i think,thats why i love EtudeHouse more than Skinfood,hahaha.

The reason would be that for every purchase above MYR/RM 100,150 and 200 above you get free stuff like calender,umbrella or a diary.

So for my amount of purchase,they gave me the umbrella which comes in a pretty pink shade and a nice hard cover.And got some freebies to boot(actually i asked for it,lol lol)

Last but not least,some cupcakes from my dad's birthday last week!

Delish? =P Got these from cupcakechic at the Curve. They have velvet red which i love!Not as much as the chocolate ones ,hehe.

My nails from last week,gonna change colour this week.Shiny white base from the face shop which i did in gradient motion,then topped it with Ianti purple star in reverse gradient motion.This is the best picture i can get,plus i was lazy,its really really shiny and nice(hahaha,self praise) in real.

AHHHH,why is it so hard to take a decent picture.

Nivea Visage Sparkling White and BOF

I tend to,sometimes maybe,do two mask at a go.I'll start off by cleansing my face with my cleanser and use a scrub after that,i have a thing for man stuff,lol.I bought this facial scrub for oil control,and i think it was meant for guys,but the results were AMAZING i tell you.Face feels squeaky clean yet soft,will review about it later on perhaps?

Anyway after scrubbing,i apply a mud/clay mask(am currently switching back and forth between Queen Helene and Clinique) to withdraw(is this the right term?hahaha,writer's block ok =P) those dirts out from the pores.I've read it somewhere,i don't remember where,but i do remember what,that after washing off the mask,you can either choose to :

a) apply toner and moisturizer,the toner will shrink the pores to normal again)

or

b) use sheet masks!since the pore is still open,the face can absorb the essence from the sheet mask better.

After the sheet mask(depending on the mask) its either you have to wash off or not,if it feels sticky use a tissue or towel which is semi wet and dab on the face.Then apply moisturizer by choice,there is no need for toner anymore.

As for me,i don't apply anything after using sheet masks.

So i did this mask,Nivea Visage Sparkling White which i won from Laney's giveaway.She gave me so many mask,i don't know which to start from.I am very thankful for it too,so i'm gonna pimp her blog to the max,lol,and also because her blog is one of my favourite,she takes amazing pictures!

Pros :

• Affordable and you can find this in most of the drugstores.
• OMG,I <3 this mask,not till the extend of HG but the size fits my face oh so perfectly,i like that it has big eyeholes,haha,sorry got big eyes =P its not too wide or long,fits like my second skin!
• Doesn't smell much,yay for the sensitive nose,even for its smell,its not too bad.
• Once the essence is absorbed by the skin,it doesn't feel sticky.
• Hydrating and my skin looks brighter.

Cons :

• Upon application,it felt sticky,but like i said,its not too bad once taken off.
• Too many cuts on the mask,so it was a messy process to plop the mask on the face,lol.Can't be help,i am clumsy.

So its a YAY by comparing the pros and cons,pros ftw!

I think i'll get more of this to stock up while it is on sale.What do you think of Nivea Visage Sparkling White?They have other items available as well.

On another note,i've caught the Kpop bug,shouldn't have watch Boys over Flowers(Korean version),anyway,i like the ending of it,its way better than the comic,atleast Jun Pyo(Doumyouji) and JanDi(Tsukushi) were together after 4 years.And Jandi's friend,Ga Eul(forgot her manga character name) got together with Yi Jung(one of the F4 member with black hair,theres 2 blonde wannabe,lol,and i forgot the name too).

So yeah,i like Ji Hoo sunbae,his oh so charming T.T I dont like cowards(Jun Pyo) Then i came across SS501,a band, which Kim Hyun Joong(Ji Hoo) belongs too.

They are not bad really,Hyun Joong so pretty and handsome <3 and they sing quite well too.Am getting Kien Lam to scout their album for me in HK,the one with the musical story and see if its cheaper.Thanks dude.

TSI and Pizza

Went on a klpac date with Joseph Kiwi last weekend to watch TSI.Heard it was good,so i gave it a go.Not bad considering it was only rm 23 for students.

Too bad its already over y'know.I rate this a 7 out of 10.

Men in Tutus are making a comeback next year,anyone up for the show?I've read and heard really good comments about it,and you don't get to see men in tutus often,maybe once in a lifetime!

Anyway,i took the train downtown to sentul and JosephKiwi picked me up from there.One of the worst train station i've ever been to,its still made of wood you see,and the people there gives me the creep,no more trains next time.Plus i had to switch trains at Putra.But nevertheless,the show and experience at KLPAC was very much worth it,and JosephKiwi's condo damn chio leh!(luxurious)

We had pizza at pizzahut for the longest time!

All this never works,haehaehahe.

And thats me frowning at the floor,hahaha,sorry i cannot pose for camera,damn awkward,and look at my bad body posture,sigh sigh sigh!But the place is awesome,there is this tunnel with bright white lights,which i am in,in the photo above,they also have this beautiful garden and the koi centre opp klpac.Gotta be there to feel my excitement,haha.

NOTW and Random Things

Was window shopping alot lately,brother did most of the shopping,didn't know what winter could be so troublesome,ey.And i thought snow was nice T.T

Anyway,i still manage to buy some stuff,i wouldn't have let it go when i had to walk in a shopping mall for 12 hours =.= or more,idk.

From left to right :
Skinfood,The Face Shop,Ianti and Etude House.

I currently have on this colour :

A greenish blue colour.

I sorta miss my long nails,but i had to cut it so i can write faster for my exam.Lol.

 I'm always a big fan of Skin Food's nail polishes.They carry an array of colours,i like colours with an edge,dark maybe.But it takes some time to dry,i've found a better one,but thats for another day now.Overall,Skin Food is pretty affordable and it doesn't apply streakily,pretty smooth i must say.

A beauty stand from Etude House,it reminds me alot of Anna Sui which i very much couldn't afford,so yeah,this would do =P

A short update for now,i shall continue reading Hana Yori Dango(Boys over Flowers),its really really addictive.

Notice the guy in the middle? His character in the manga has very curly hair,so that explains the bad perm,hahaah,but nevertheless,he is GOOD.
